Screensaver and Idle Experience
Nexio's modern screensaver is part of the app experience, not a separate utility. When the TV goes idle, it can turn into a moving discovery surface instead of a static logo or a black screen.
What it shows
- The screensaver uses real catalog artwork and metadata.
- If Trakt is signed in and the trending rails are enabled, the screensaver can use Trakt-backed trending movies and shows.
- If Trakt is not available, Nexio falls back to popular catalog content.
Why Trakt helps
- Trakt keeps the idle screen fresh with account-backed trending content.
- The screensaver can follow the same account context as the rest of the app instead of showing a generic feed.
- This makes the idle screen feel more connected to what you actually watch.
Motion and burn-in mitigation
- The screensaver uses slow Ken Burns-style motion with a gentle pan and zoom.
- Slides crossfade over time instead of staying completely static.
- That movement helps reduce OLED burn-in risk during long idle periods.
What to expect
- Press OK on a slide to open its details.
- The idle experience is designed to feel like a living part of Nexio, not just a screensaver that covers the screen.
If this is not working
- If the screensaver feels generic or stale, confirm Trakt is signed in and that the account sync has finished.
- If the idle screen still does not reflect the account after setup, move to Troubleshooting.
